NBA Tips 23/2
There looks to be some value out there in the NBA today and we’ll be making a couple of plays. There are three games which take our fancy, so check out our tips below. If you want to place a bet, then be sure to register an account with Sportsbet, where you can claim a $300 Free Bet.
Chicago Bulls @ Washington Wizards
We’ll start with Chicago against the spread on their road trip to the new look Wizards. Both these sides were active in trade week and we believe the Bulls have strengthened their squad thanks to the addition of Hakim Warrick and Flip Murray. Casting an eye over the stats we see Chicago are 8-2 against the spread in their last ten road matches, while they have won 4 of their last 5 against the Wizards. Couple that with the fact Chicago have won 6 of their past 7 overall, beating the spread in 6 of those 7. They have been averaging 108 pts a game in their last five compared to that of 100 for the Wizards. Take Chicago -2.5 at $1.91 with Sportsbet.

2010 NBA All Star Match
Well here we are again, All Star weekend in the NBA as the best from the East take on the best from the West. This match is literally going to be the biggest NBA All Star match in history with over 90,000 people expected to be in attendance at Cowboys Stadium in Dallas, crushing the old record of 78,129 for a basketball match in America.
This match is always a great spectacle with the best NBA players going head to head. The West won last year event 146-119 in a landslide as Kobe Bryant and Shaq ran riot. Kobe won’t be playing this year due to injury, but the West are still favourites at $1.82, with the East at $2.00 at Centrebet.
The West will be very strong and hard to stop in the paint with guys like Dirk Nowitzki, Pau Gasol, Zach Randolph and Tim Duncan, while on the offensive end they look unstoppable with Kevin Durant and Carmelo Anthony both averaging 29 points a game this year, and backup coming from the likes of Chauncey Billups, Chris Paul, Brandon Roy and Steve Nash. There doesn’t appear to be too many weaknesses in this team.

NBA Tips 02/02
There looks a bit of value out there today in the NBA. We’ve studied today’s matches and found a couple that we like. The out of form Boston will be looking to out gun Washington and are value to do so at -5.0 at $1.91. The Celtics have the wood on the Wizards in recent years winning the past four straight, including the last two at this venue (won of those a 122-88 win). Hard to see the Celtics dropping this one. Tip – Boston -5.0 at $1.91
Milwaukee appear WAY over the odds at $3.25 with their trip to Miami. The Bucks were 95-84 winners over Miami only two days ago on Sunday and they do know how to win at this venue, winning in two of their past four visits here. The line here is +6.5 on the Bucks which is hard to ignore. Tip – Milwaukee +6.5 at $1.91
Phoenix is another we like. They look over the odds at $2.00 in their trip to New Orleans and their form suggest they should be able to scoot past the Hornets. The Suns have won at Houston and defeated Dallas in their past two games and are really firing, thanks to solid form from Amare Stoudemire. The Hornets will be without superstar Chris Paul until mid March after he injured his knee last match, while James Posey will miss also. Very hard to dismiss the Suns here. Tip – Phoenix win at $2.00
Portland could be another one who look value at $1.80, home to Charlotte. The Bobcats have been struggling on the road this year winning only 6 of 23, however the Blazers will be without playmaker Brandon Roy for this clash. It is a tough one, but we slightly fancy the Blazers to win a close one. Portland win at $1.80

Todays Best NBA Bet
Welcome to our look at today’s NBA action. We have no cast our eyes over today’s matches, and while it looks to be a tough day, we have found a very good bet. Check out Cleveland into Philadelphia at $2.71.
The Cavs are flying at the minute, with a solid win against Western Conference champions LA Lakers reinforcing the fact they are clearly the best in the East. The LeBron/Shaq partnership is finally starting to bear some fruit and Anthony Parker has been on fire.
Today the Cavs are $1.91 as they take on Miami which in what is a tough ask, but history shows the Cavs have won 7 of the past 8 meetings between the two sides including 3 of the past 4 at this venue. Miami have been in some ok form themselves, but a 39 point loss against Charlotte three starts back proves they are vulnerable.
The 76ers are our other tip, they are taking on Indiana and are at home. The 76ers are at $1.42 which is real value, considering they won at Indiana only two days ago by 10 points. At home they will be even stronger, particularly given Indiana’s poor road record of 5-18.
Look at jumping on the Cavs/76ers double at $2.71 at Sportsbet, and you can claim a $300 Sign Up bonus when registering a new account. Visit Sportsbet here for full details and to place your bet.

Lakers v Cavs
One of the most anticipated matches of the season is almost here, with the Lakers taking on Cleveland this Friday (Thursday in America). Everyone will be coming to watch what is basically ‘Kobe v LeBron’ and Aussies can catch all the action live on One HD at midday.
This match could be a warm up for what is likely to be The Finals this year with both sides in cruise control. Cleveland won the spoils when these two teams met on Christmas Day 102-87, with Mo Williams (28 pts) and LeBron James (26 pts) putting on a clinic.
In fact, looking at the history between these two sides, it is the Cavs who look dangerous having won 6 of the past 8 clashes, including 4 of the past 5 at this venue. From a betting perspective, the Cavs have covered the spread in 8 of their last 10 over the Lakers as well, and they look a nice prospect here. Interstingly, 7 of the last 8 clashes between the two have resulted in the spread ending Under the total.
Cleveland have been solid in their last few games on the back of a 50% shooting average from the field and 36% from the perimeter. They also possess one of the toughest defences in the league. The Lakers hit a skid last week and look to have recovered, but we can’t see them hitting back here.
Look at taking Cleveland -3.5 at $1.91 with Sportsbet, as well as the Under 195.5 at $1.91 and be sure you miss none of the action with One HD.

Today's NBA Bets
With Christmas now over, we only have New Years Eve to look forward to now this year. Well, that’s note entirely true, we have a five games of NBA today with what appears to be a bit of value on the cards.
We’ll start with San Antonio -3.0 at $1.91 at Sportingbet. The Spurs are playing well at the minute having won 7 of their last 9 games overall, and they take on New York who slumped on Christmas day and have won just 3 of their last 6. The Spurs have been hitting 50% from the field in their last 5 compared to that of New York 41% during this time and they’ve won 8 of the last 9 encounters between the two sides. We expect that trend to continue and suggest taking Spurs on the line.
Houston are $4.55 to win at Cleveland $1.23, but there looks a bit of value in the Rockets. Hosuton have won 4 of the past 5 clashes between the two, covering the spread in four of those games. In fact, they beat the Cavs by 10 pots only a fortnight ago. This one is a tough ask, but the IASbet are giving the Rockets a 8.5 head start which we believe is great value. Look at taking Houston +8.5 at $1.91.
The other games are a little less compelling. Indiana +7.5 could be value given the Pacers have form over their opponents Miami, but it’s hard to ignore their poor form throughout December. Denver have won their past 10 against Dallas, covering the spread in 9 of those games. Denver -5.0 could be the bet here. Boston travels to LA to take on the Clippers in today’s final game. The Celtics are firing at the minute, but their record against the Clippers in recent times is less than flattening. We’d suggest not betting in this one.

Todays NBA Tips
Seven games in the NBA today, but only a couple take my eye. I’m looking at Detroit who appear way over the odds at $3.00 to beat Charlotte in Charlotte at $1.42. These two sides have met regularly over the past several year’s, with the Pistons winning 7 of 8 of 9 since January 2007. The most recent being a 98-75 win only five weeks ago.
Both sides are in poor form, but Detroit will be looking to return to the form that saw them win 5 straight games earlier this month. I think they can do so here, they showed plenty of grit in their last match, keeping title favourites the Lakers to only 10 points in the last quarter. Be sure to check out Detroit to win at $3.00, if take the +5.5 spread for added confidence.
There is not much else I like today, maybe Indiana +14.5 at $1.92 against Boston. The Pacers have covered the spread in their last three against the Celtics and actually beat them by 9 points only five weeks back. The 14.5 spread looks tough for the Celtics to cover. Also, Golden State looks a bit better than the $3.90 being offered at Centrebet, having already beat the Grizzlies last month, and having a win record of 7 of their last 10 over the Grizzlies. The line looks a safe option here, take Golden State +7.5 at $1.92.
There appears to be plenty of value today if your like betting over the odds, with 11 games today in the NBA. Indiana ($3.10) really stand out against Memphis ($1.40). The Pacers have a good recent record over the Grizzlies winning 4 of the past 6 encounters, while they have also turned their form around this past week winning 3 of 4, their only loss coming at Orlando. Indiana to win at $3.10 is great value, or take them +6.0 on the safer option.
Denver ($1.83) are also real value at New Orleans ($2.00). They’ve won 5 of their past 6 against the Hornets and come into this game with solid form with wins this week already against Houston, Phoenix and the tricky Oklahoma Thunder. They will be without star Chauncey Billups, but they have good depth and we recommend them here. There could be better value on the line with Denver -1.0 at $1.91. Interestingly, the Nuggets have covered the line in their last 6 games against the Hornets, so check out Denver -1.0 at $1.91.
Others that stand out as value to me are Washington $2.35 and Detroit $2.80, while the lines of Milwaukee +9.5 and New Jersey +7.5 are big chances.
