Match Preview
I can see big problems for Blackburn this season and game one especially. They have only been able to bring in young striker Mame biram Diouf on a season long loan so far despite the best efforts of Big Sam. The club could be under new ownership come the January transfer window but as the season looms large on the horizon and they will have to make do with what they’ve got.
Everton are at near full strength for this match which is not the norm for the Goodison Park club after the last few years of being down to the bare bones. This means there is a log of expectation on the shoulders of the toffeemen and what some believe to be the strongest squad since they were last champions in 1987.
In form strikers Jermaine Beckford and Louis Saha are vying for a start berth in the side in front of fellow forward men Yakubu, Anichebe and Jao Silva. The Evertonian engine room is back to full strength also with the return of the big hair of Marouane Fellaini – he may not be quite ready for a full 90 mins of EPL action though.
Conclusion
As you can see below this really isn’t one of Blackburns favourite fixtures home or away and i thnk this one will also be an away win as Everton take the spoils by a couple of goals at Ewood Park, got the feeling its going to be a long hard season for Rovers.
