Sweet Embrace Stakes – Betfair Market Update

Sweet Embrace Stakes

Sweet Embrace Stakes

Randwick is the setting this Saturday for the Group 3 Sweet Embrace Stake, raced over a distance of 1200 metres. It promises to be an exciting race and Betfair’s Matthew Thompson has been kind enough to give us a market update of where all the money is going. Check it out!

Winners market:

Best backed runners

Crystal Lily - Has been $3.10 into $2.80, and clearly the best backed runner
Zutara - $5.70 into $5.50.

Tips and comment by Betfair’s Mathew Thompson

A quiet betting affair outside the favourite Crystal Lily, who was matched at as much as $3.10 yesterday before firming right in to her current quote. She will roll along in front and play ‘catch me if you can’ with her rivals Ambers Waltz ($4.90 out to $5.10) and Zutara.

Crystal Lily won’t get her own way in front, however. Although coming off a modest mid-week win, Kris Lees filly Dove Lake looks classy will could lead on the fence from barrier two. If she’s fit enough, I am expecting the daughter of Flying Spur to be in the race for a long time and I wouldn’t fall over in shock if she managed to run a place at big odds.

The added pressure in front persuades me to believe Crystal Lily is vulnerable, and at $2.80, I’ll be making her my lay of the day.

1 – Ambers Waltz
2 – Zutara
3 – Crystal Lily
4 – Dove Lake
